Alisha's birthday card - All Dressed Up

When I came across this digi from All dressed up I couldn't resist it, I knew it was the perfect image for my daughter's 11th birthday card - so girly and an absolute dream to work with :-)
I coloured the image with promarkers and went for a purple theme as its one of Alisha's favourite colours (and it gave me an excuse to use my fave too lol) Kept it simple with a die cut border, heart and flower then added ribbon and gems from my stash.
As the All Dressed Up blog has just launched their first challenge - "Anything Goes", I'm going to enter this as its the first challenge I've done for a long time, and its the perfect way to get back into challenges, and give me the kick I need lol

Challenges

A few cards

A small selection of some of the cards I made for friends/family

Saturated Canary "Fancy" coloured with promarkers, papers from stash. Made this for my daughter's friend for her 15th birthday - she's a real girly girl so thought this was perfect for her.

I made this one to celebrate my daughter's fabulous gcse results...the image is from digistamp boutique coloured with promarkers, the papers are from a me to you pack, ribbon from stash

Saw this stamp from Mazyarts and couldn't resist making a card for my friend who is a huge Dr Who fan. Used promarkers to colour the image, the paper is a free wallpaper I printed off, card and embellies from stash

Birthday card made from Hunkydory kit

Friend card swap made using Saturated Canary "Witchies" image, coloured with promarkers - the ironic thing is my friend used the same image for the card she sent me, must say something about us lol

1st anniversary card made for mother in law and her husband, wanted to try to keep this one clean and simple, which is something I struggle with

Its been a while....

Hard to believe its been over a year since I blogged but it has been a really difficult time - health issues,  personal problems, hubby losing his job... certainly doesn't class as the best year I ever had. During all this crafting's kind of taken seat as I've either not felt up to crafting/not really had a reason to make stuff (apart from the odd couple of cards) and mostly no money to buy new goodies lol. I decided though enough is enough... why shouldn't I do something I enjoy just because life dealt me a rough blow lol So time to blow away the cobwebs and deal with it lol

It's week 24 already of Just Inspirational Challenge and this week we are sponsored by the fabulous Delicious Doodles

It's the turn of team A this week and the gorgeous inspirational picture was chosen by Erin

The image can be interpreted any way you want -  the image itself, colour, theme etc. The DT have made some beautiful creations to inspire you so don't forget to check out their blogs and leave them some love :-)

I chose to use Butterfly Bliss and decided to try to be more adventurous and use some stronger colours. I used promarkers and flexmarkers, with some stickles glitter glue on the butterfly. I didn't make a list of colours as I went, but will try to list them as close as I can remember

Hair: Henna, chestnut, flexmarker firebrick, burnt orange
Dress: Marine, turquoise, pear green, leaft green
Flower: Pastel blue, glacier blue, honeycomb
Butterflies: cornflower, royal blue

The papers are a free download, Carrie Stephens 'Spontaneous Delight' but I can't remember where the download came from :-/  Everything else is from my stash.

Just Inspirational Challenge

This week we're sponsored by the fabulous Saturated Canary. The DT were to be given an image to work with - the difficult part was deciding which one to choose as they're all equally amazing!!! Krista is one very talented lady!

I chose to use 'Party Hardy' coloured with promarkers and went with a red/white/blue theme. The DP is from Papermania Burleigh Blue Capsure Collection, ribbon and flowers are from my stash

I'm also showing a card which I entered into the Inked Paws 'Spring' Challenge.

The image is 'Serain' by Kelly Rhodes, coloured with flexmarkers and promarkers, papers are pink petticoat, ribbon from stash and butterfly diecuts some a friend cut me.
I'm really pleased with how this came out, Kelly's images are a dream to work with.

The Crazy Challenge #110

It was my turn to choose a theme for this week's Crazy Challenge and in a moment of what I can only describe as sheer madness I chose 'No Designer Paper' - now for some people that would be straightforward, but for a self-confessed paper addict it wasn't easy!!

The sponsors this week are Create with TLC and the DT have created some fab projects for inspiration. Here's mine - with no paper in sight!!

Image is from Create with TLC and my choice of image was definitely inspired by the lovely spring weather of the last few days. It's coloured with promarkers and flex markers, added some sparkle with stickles (if I can't have my paper got to have my sparkles lol) I used some flat backed pearls for the corners, and the centre of one of the flowers, ribbon and flowers from my stash, top blue flower is cut with marianne creatables english rose die.

Totally Stampalicious - Flowers
Simon Says Stamp and Show - Anything Goes
